Zieglhütte is a district of the Bavarian market Waidhaus in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the administrative district of Upper Palatinate .

Geographical location

Zieglhütte is located about two kilometers south of Waidhaus and one kilometer south of the A6 motorway . Zieglhütte is on the road from Pfrentsch to Waidhaus.

history

Zieglhütte (also spelled: Ziegelhütte) has belonged to the municipality of Pfrentsch since 1821 together with Heilinghaus, Thomasgschieß and the village of Pfrentsch itself.

From 1821 to 1939 a village of Ziegelhütte was mentioned as a district of Waidhaus. However, it was not the Zieglhütte that was dealt with in this article, but another village about one kilometer further northeast. This other brickworks was no longer mentioned as a district in the list of districts of Waidhaus from 1969. A street called "Ziegelweg" on the south-eastern edge of Waidhaus reminds of this other village.

In 1867 the Zieglhütte had three buildings and seven residents. It belonged to the municipality of Pfrentsch. The districts of Thomasgschieß, Pfrentsch and Zieglhütte (here spelling: Ziegelhütte) belonged to the municipality of Pfrentsch at that time.

In 1976 Zieglhütte was incorporated into Waidhaus as part of the Pfrentsch community.
