Omar Mosaad Abozeid ( Arabic عمر مسعد, DMG ʿUmar Musʿad ; * March 17, 1988 in Cairo ) is an Egyptian squash player .

Career

Omar Mosaad started his professional career in 2005 and has won ten tournaments on the PSA World Tour so far . He achieved his highest position in the world rankings with third place in June 2016. Even during his time with the juniors, he celebrated major successes. He won the important junior title of the British Junior Open several times, and in 2006 he made it into the final of the World Championship , which he clearly lost against Ramy Ashour with 1: 9, 3: 9 and 1: 9. His greatest career success to date was reaching the 2015 World Cup final . In this he was defeated by Grégory Gaultier in three sets. With the Egyptian national team he took part in the 2013 World Cup, where he was runner-up after losing to England in the final.
