Julian Illingworth (born January 30, 1984 in Portland , Oregon ) is a retired American squash player .

Career

Julian Illingworth began his professional career in the 2003 season and won twelve titles on the PSA World Tour . He reached his highest ranking in the world rankings with position 24 in January 2012. From 2005 to 2012 he won the US championships without interruption , which is a record. In 2008 he was the Pan American champion both individually and with the US national team. Julian Illingworth has won three medals at the Pan American Games . In 2007 he was defeated by the Mexican Eric Gálvez in the individual final in Rio de Janeiro and won silver. He also won a silver medal in Guadalajara in 2011 . In the final of the doubles competition he lost to the side of Christopher Gordon the Mexicans Arturo Salazar and again Eric Gálvez. With the US team he won bronze. With the national team he took part in world championships in 2005 , 2007 , 2009 , 2011 and 2013 . In the 2012/13 season he was the first player to win the newly created US Pro Squash Series .

In 2006, Julian Illingworth successfully completed his studies at Yale University , for which he was active during his studies in college sports.
