US Pro Squash Series

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The US Pro Squash Series is a series of an irregular number of PSA World Tour tournaments that are played in the United States as part of an ongoing season .

The US Pro Squash Series was launched in 2013 by PSA and the US Squash Association to provide the smaller US tournaments with better marketing opportunities. The tournament series includes all PSA tournaments in the Challenger and International categories on US soil. The US Open are therefore not part of the tournament series. Depending on how they performed in the tournaments, the players receive a certain number of points. At the end of the season, the three players with the highest accumulated points will be rewarded with additional prize money. The grand total is $ 10,000, of which the winner will receive $ 5,000, runner-up will receive $ 3,000, and third place will receive $ 2,000.

The first winner in 2013 was the American Julian Illingworth . In the 2012/13 season , a total of 16 tournaments were part of the US Pro Squash Series. No player managed to win more than one of these tournaments.
