The European-Georgian Institute ( EGI ) ( Georgian ევროპულ-ქართული ინსტიტუტი ) is a non-governmental organization in Georgia that was founded in 2015 by Giorgi Melaschvili , Schalva Chkeidze and Revaz Topuria. The aim of the EGI is both the development of democracy and the free market and the development of the rule of law . At the same time, it is trying to find a new generation of managers, which plays an important role for the Caucasus .

The EGI is an independent civil society organization whose campaign focuses on issues such as peacebuilding, promoting good governance and helping youth participation in the democratic process. It emphasizes "independence and impartiality" and explicitly excludes political, economic or religious factors in its decision-making.

The European-Georgian Institute is an accompanying member of the European Liberal Forum (ELF), an organization of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). It also accompanies the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom .

In 2019, the EGI was involved in clarifying Georgian and Russian territorial interests in Georgia.
