European Association of Actuaries
The European Actuarial Association , officially also known under the English title Actuarial Association of Europe or the corresponding acronym AAE , is the Europe-wide representation of the actuaries organized in national professional associations . The organization is based in the Belgian capital, Brussels .
Background and story
The association was founded in 1978 under the name Groupe Consultatif . The main task is lobbying at the various European institutions such as the European Commission , European Parliament , EIOPA etc. She advises the individual institutions and is involved in the consultations on the relevant legal requirements and guidelines. The association currently comprises 36 member organizations from 35 countries and thus represents over 22,000 professionals.
