history

The EAAP was founded on November 8, 1949 during the 5th International Congress on Animal Production in Paris. The founding members came from Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Switzerland and Tunisia.

According to the statutes, the purpose of the association is to promote scientific research and transfer the research results to livestock husbandry, as well as promoting international cooperation between the member organizations.
