European Association of Co-operative Banks
The European Association of Co-operative Banks ( EACB , German European Association of Cooperative Banks ) was 1970 founded.
Members are cooperative banking groups from 31 European countries including Eastern European countries. The 78 million members represented by the EACB represent 68,000 branches with over 860,000 employees. The business share of the EACB members is around 20% across Europe. The EACB is the official contact for EU institutions on cooperative issues.
Another purpose is to inform the members' cooperative banks about important European changes in the banking sector and to coordinate the cooperative interests of the 31 countries represented.
