criticism

In addition to the living conditions in the facilities, the selection of employees and their behavior was criticized. Among other things, right-wing extremists worked as security guards who were employed by the security company SKI. According to reports by the Taz , there has been mistreatment of refugees housed in European Homecare facilities and a resident being raped by a home manager since 2014. In Burbach, security guards and supervisors of the refugee home locked asylum seekers in, beat them up, humiliated them - covered by the home management. In November 2018, Der Spiegel reported on the start of the "mammoth trial" before the Siegen district court against more than 30 employees and securities. According to the FAZ it was said on the investigator's page "Pictures that are otherwise only known from Guantanamo". The home manager was sentenced to a suspended sentence of one year and three months for systematic deprivation of liberty. At the operating company European Homecare "there was never any talk of further training".
