The European Journal of Cancer , abbreviated Eur. J. Cancer , is a scientific journal published by the Elsevier- Verlag. The journal is the official publication organ of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) , the European CanCer Organization (ECCO) , the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists (EUSOMA) . The first issue appeared in June 1965. Currently, 18 issues appear each year. Articles from all areas of experimental and clinical oncology are published.

The impact factor in 2015 was 6,163. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 22nd out of 213 journals in the oncology category.

Editor-in-chief is Alexander Eggermont , Institut Gustave Roussy , Villejuif, France.
