from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European Mobile Media Association (EMMA) was founded in Germany in 2000 with the aim of holding automotive hi-fi and multimedia competitions. EMMA organizes up to 400 events per year in over 40 nations. The reviews are essentially about the quality of the music playback and the installation of the components. For testing purposes, EMMA produces its own test CDs at regular intervals with special titles that enable different audio systems to be compared. Over 1,000 honorary jurors help with thiswho evaluate a total of approximately 20,000 vehicles per year. Every year, the head judges (selected international judges) meet to discuss changes to the regulations and suggestions. Every year jurors are trained in the individual countries.

EMMA also maintains the EMMA Academy , a training center in which specialist dealers, fitters, industry employees and interested car audio fans can learn technologies and applications in the installation of navigation and entertainment electronics . Another task of EMMA is to organize special shows on mobile entertainment and car media in cooperation with trade fairs .
