Heinrich Baucke

Heinrich Karl Baucke (* 15. April 1875 in Dusseldorf , † April 12 or 13. April 1915 in Ratingen ) was a German sculptor of the Neo-Baroque .

Life

Heinrich Baucke studied sculpture under Karl Janssen at the art academy from 1891 to 1900 . His first success was the bronze figure winner in the fist fight , which can be seen today in the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf . He settled in Düsseldorf as a freelance sculptor and was involved in the local “Association of Academic Sculptors”, which sought to represent the interests of the Rhenish sculptors against the competition from Berlin. In 1903 he moved to Berlin , where he carried out several orders from Kaiser Wilhelm II , including the statue of Wilhelm III. von Orange-Nassau on the pleasure garden terrace of the Berlin Palace . Heinrich Bauke died in Ratingen on April 12 or 13, 1915.
