Eva Landauer (born October 9, 1917 in Heilbronn ; † February 14, 2004 ) was a German psychoanalyst.

Life

Eva Landauer was the daughter of the Jewish doctor and psychoanalyst Karl Landauer and his wife Lins Kahn. She and her parents were deported to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1944 . After the Second World War , she completed a social worker degree at the London School of Economics . At the Hampstead Clinic, she trained as a child analyst with Anna Freud .

In New York, she was a lecturer in child and adolescent analysis at the New York Society of Freudian Psychologists . She was also a member of the Association for Child Psychoanalysis . For many years she worked for the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services .
