Eva Luise and Horst Köhler Foundation
The Eva Luise and Horst Köhler Foundation is a "Foundation for People with Rare Diseases" initiated in 2006 by the then Federal President Horst Köhler and his wife Eva Luise Köhler . The foundation works in close cooperation with ACHSE, whose patron is Eva Luise Köhler, for research in the field of rare diseases . In 2007 the foundation awarded the “ Eva Luise Köhler Research Prize ” for the first time, endowed with 50,000 euros .
In 2013, Horst and Eva Luise Köhler were awarded the Bavarian Stifterpreis by their foundation for “supporting patient-oriented science” .
