Bavarian donor award
The Bavarian Founder Prize of the Werner Reichenberger Foundation (chairman Hubert Thaler), endowed with 25,000 euros , has been awarded every year since 2013 to people who are particularly committed as donors or sponsors. The selection for the prize includes people who have set up a non-profit institution with great immaterial and, if necessary, material commitment and who have achieved verifiable success in the past. The focus of the charitable work is not limited: engagements in the areas of social affairs, health, animal and environmental protection, art and culture are possible.

- 2014: José Carreras for the José Carreras Leukemia Foundation
- 2015: Christian Springer for the Orienthelfer eV association

Selection criteria for the Bavarian Stifterpreis
The Bavarian Stifterpreis honors personalities who have set a pioneering symbol for social commitment with their foundation or their charitable project, especially with a view to promoting the health and living conditions of future generations.
The candidates should be the driving force of their respective voluntary project. In addition, longevity and sustainability, exemplary character, innovation and, last but not least, the documented effectiveness of social commitment are criteria in the selection of the award winners.
motivation
The Bavarian Stifterpreis is not an end in itself. It is intended to contribute to promoting a dynamic development that leads to the idea of founding and the social appreciation of social engagement being more widely spread. If more and more private individuals and companies experience in concrete terms what society and they themselves can gain through their social commitment and if they receive effective support on their way, then many social tasks can be solved sustainably.
