Eva Rottmann

Eva Rottmann (* 1983 in Würzburg ) is a German author and theater worker.

Life

Eva Rottmann grew up in Wertheim. From 2004 to 2008 she studied theater education at the Zurich University of the Arts. During her studies she developed numerous theater projects, mainly with young people. In 2007 she took part in the ASSITEJ program “Write for the Stage” and wrote the play “Lizard and Salamander”, which was awarded the 2008 Kathrin Türks Prize. This was followed by participation in the play laboratory Theater Basel, where her play "Skills" was awarded the audience award. In 2010 she was invited to the Heidelberger Stückemarkt with “Under Each Roof”, where she won the audience award. Her play “Die mich jagen” was nominated for the German Youth Theater Award in 2012. In 2015 the children's book "Goldkind" was published by mixtvision Verlag. In 2019 she was nominated for the Mülheimer Kinderstücke with "Die Eisbärin". Eva Rottmann is a member of the interdisciplinary platform “Company for Intermediate Areas”. She lives in Zurich and has two children.
