Eva Schmidt (journalist)

Eva Maria Schmidt (* 1969 in Olpe ) is a German journalist.

Life

Eva Schmidt studied Slavic languages , political science and history in Bonn and Moscow. She completed her traineeship at the television station SAT.1 . Then she worked in the business editorial department of n-tv and for the news in the ZDF morning magazine. She has been moderating the macro magazine at 3sat since March 2011 . She also made a film about Cuba's economic development .

In 2011 she received the German-Polish Journalism Award for the film Avanti Polonia - Warsaw's Way to the West .

Eva Schmidt runs her own blog, on which she writes about her work in television as well as current affairs, literature, politics and more.
