Amateur career

In the following year Steinberger was Styrian youth champion and in 2000 she won the Austrian youth championship. She won the Luxembourg International Championships in 2003, the Slovenian Championships a year later, and in November 2004 she became Proette.

Professional career

She qualified through the Qualifying School for the Ladies European Tour (LET), on which she has played regularly since the 2005 season. Her best placement so far was a ninth place at the Open de España Femenino in May 2006. The Spielbergerin also plays on the Nedbank South African Tour and Ladies Asian Tour , making her the hardest-working Austrian proette.

In 2006, Steinberger was the best Austrian on the Ladies European Tour and secured the 2007 tour card early on. For 2009 she changed her team of supervisors and works with her first trainer, Ralph Hagen, after a five-year break. Steinberger secured her professional career through a multi-year sponsorship contract until 2010 and is managed by Christoph Ammann (Grand Prix Tickets, CAM Security).

After a two-year break, Steinberger is back playing for GC Murtal.
