Evangelical Academy of the Palatinate
The Evangelical Academy of the Palatinate is an institution of the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate . It is one of 17 Protestant academies in the Federal Republic of Germany and a member of the umbrella organization Evangelical Academies in Germany
history
The Evangelical Academy of the Palatinate was founded in 1951 and was initially based in Bad Dürkheim , later in Speyer and currently on the Butenschoen campus in Landau in the Palatinate . Her previous directors were:
- 1951–1960: Karl Heinrich Köhler
- 1961–1968: Carl Schneider
- 1968–1986: Alfred Hans Kuby
- 1987–1994: Richard Ziegert
- 1994–2008: Volker Hörner
Hanns-Christoph Picker has been director of the Evangelical Academy of the Palatinate since 2008.
