The Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Ludwigshafen - School of Social and Health Services (English: Protestant University of Applied Sciences ) was a college sponsored by the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate in Ludwigshafen am Rhein .
history
In 1948 the Evangelical School for Church and Social Service was founded, in 1964 it was converted into the Seminar for Social Professions - Higher Technical School for Social Work and from 1971 was a technical college.
The Evangelical Church withdrew from sponsorship for financial reasons. Since the significantly larger, so far more economically and technically oriented University of Applied Sciences Ludwigshafen wanted to expand its range of subjects anyway, a merger was completed at the end of the 2007/2008 winter semester. A corresponding ministerial decision was made on October 24, 2007 in favor of a merger of the two Ludwigshafen universities of applied sciences. The Evangelical Church pledged to grant 100,000 euros each for research and teaching on ethical issues for ten years.
