Evangelical Church (Herbede)
The Evangelical Church is a listed church building in Herbede , a district of Witten ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The three-bay hall church was built in 1814 from broken stone. The nave is covered with a mansard hipped roof. The Romanesque west tower with a biforie on the north side probably dates from the 13th century, it is crowned with a Gothic pointed helmet. The interior was completely renovated from 1965 to 1966, it is equipped with a wooden barrel vault. During this renovation, the annex behind the former pulpit altar was converted into a chancel.
The tombstones from the 17th century to the east of the church are remarkable.
