The Evangelical Church is the house of worship of the Evangelical parish of Genheim in Rhineland-Palatinate .

history

The single-nave sacred building was built between 1868 and 1871 and inaugurated on May 9, 1871. He is the successor to an older church that was right next to the current church and was demolished. Parts of this church, e.g. B. the belfry, were initially reused in the new building. The plans came from the then district building inspector Carl Conradi from Bad Kreuznach. Conradi created a quarry stone hall in the neo-Gothic style . The construction costs were borne by the civil parish and reduced through their own contributions.

In 1990 the church was placed under monument protection. The protection notice shows the church as a typical representative of the neo-Gothic church building and thus as evidence of artistic creativity in the sacred architecture of the 19th century. He also highlights the special topographical location of the church.
