Éric Claude François Srecki (born July 2, 1964 in Béthune ) is a former French sword fencer , two-time Olympic champion and four-time world champion. Since 2004 he has been the Technical Director of the Fédération Française d'Escrime .

He fought for the Levallois Sporting Club Escrime .

successes

Éric Srecki won bronze with the Epee team at the 1987 World Championships in Lausanne . In 1988 at the Olympic Games in Seoul Srecki won gold with the team, in the individual he finished 17th.

At the 1990 World Championships in Lyon and the 1991 World Championships in Budapest , he won silver with the team. In 1992 at the Olympic Games in Barcelona he won gold in singles and fourth place with the team.

In 1993 Srecki won silver with the team at the World Championships in Essen . In 1994 he was team world champion in Athens and individual world champion in 1995 in The Hague , where he received silver with the team. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Srecki won bronze with the team, in the individual it was ninth place.

In 1997 he was again individual world champion in Cape Town . In 1998 he won silver at the European Championships in Plovdiv and silver with the team at the World Championships in La Chaux-de-Fonds . In 1999 he was again team world champion in Seoul and won silver with the team at the European Championships in Bolzano . At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, Srecki received silver with the team and seventh place in the individual.
