Victor Willems ( February 19, 1877 , † 1918 ) was a Belgian fencer .

successes

Victor Willems took part in two Olympic Games . At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he and Paul Anspach , Fernand de Montigny , Désiré Beaurain , Fernand Bosmans , Ferdinand Feyerick and François Rom secured the bronze medal in the team competition with the sword. In 1912 he reached the final round in Stockholm with the Belgian epee team, which he finished in first place with Henri Anspach , Paul Anspach, Robert Hennet , Jacques Ochs , Fernand de Montigny, Gaston Salmon and François Rom and thus became Olympic champion . In the individual competitions he was eliminated with the epee in the first round and with the foil in the semi-finals.

Willems fell in the First World War .
