Philippe Boisse

Philippe Boisse (* 18th March 1955 ) is a former French epee - fencers . He won two gold medals in Olympics . He is currently the Vice President of the French Fencing Federation.

Boisse already took part in the sword competitions at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal . At the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow , he won the gold medal with the Degen team. Four years later, at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , he could not repeat the result with the team, but still won silver. In the individual competition in Los Angeles, he was also able to fight for the Olympic victory.

At the fencing world championships in 1985 Philippe Boisse became world champion, which he had already achieved with the team three years earlier at the fencing world championships in 1982 . He was able to repeat the team title at the World Fencing Championships in 1983 , and in 1987 he won team bronze.

Philippe Boisse's son, Éric Boisse , is also a successful fencer. Philippe Boisse is currently the Vice President of the French Fencing Federation.
