Zoltán Nemere (born April 20, 1942 in Bokod ; † May 6, 2001 in Felgyő ) was a Hungarian sword fencer .
successes
Zoltán Nemere was in 1965 in Paris in the individual and in 1970 in Ankara and in 1971 in Vienna with the team champion . 1969 he won with the team also in Havana second place and 1963 in Gdansk and in 1967 in Montreal third. He took part in the Olympic Games twice: at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo he entered the battle for the gold medal with the Hungarian team and, thanks to an 8: 3 win over Italy , was Árpád Bárány , Tamás Gábor , István Kausz and Győző Kulcsár thus Olympic champion . He finished the individual in ninth place. In 1968 he repeated his success in the team competition in Mexico City when the Hungarian team won the gold medal again. The Soviet Union was defeated 7: 4 in the final. In addition to Nemere, Csaba Fenyvesi , Győző Kulcsár, Pál Nagy and Pál Schmitt were part of the team. In the individual, he finished 13th. Nemere was three times in the individual and in the team competition Hungarian champion.
