Georges Buchard
Georges Buchard (* 21st December 1893 in Harfleur ; † 22. January 1987 ) was a French epee - fencers . He won two gold medals with the team in Olympics .
Buchard took part in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris . There he was seventh in the individual and won the gold medal with the team. At the Summer Olympics in Amsterdam in 1928 , Buchard won the silver medal both with the team and in the individual. In Los Angeles , at the 1932 Summer Olympics , Buchard was again Olympic champion with the team. In the individual, he was able to defend his silver medal from the last Olympic Games. At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin , Buchard only started with the team and won bronze.
His brother Gustave Buchard was also an Olympic sword fencer.
