Fiorenzo Marini (born March 14, 1914 in Vienna , Austria , † January 25, 1991 in Chieri ) was an Italian sword fencer .
Career
Fiorenzo Marini took part in two Olympic Games . At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he and the team reached the final round unbeaten, in which the Italian team only had to admit defeat to France , while they defeated Sweden and Denmark . Together with Carlo Agostoni , Luigi Cantone , Marco Antonio Mandruzzato , Dario Mangiarotti and Edoardo Mangiarotti , Marini won the silver medal. In 1960 he was in Rome with the team again in the final and was Olympic champion after beating the British team . In addition to Marini, Giuseppe Delfino , Edoardo Mangiarotti, Carlo Pavesi , Alberto Pellegrino and Gianluigi Saccaro also belonged to the Italian team. Between the two Olympic Games, he was world champion in the team competition in Monte Carlo in 1950 . 1951 followed in Stockholm winning the silver medal with the team, 1953 in Brussels winning the bronze medal in individual.
