Alfredo Rota (born July 21, 1975 in Milan ) is a former Italian sword fencer .

successes

Alfredo Rota became vice world champion with the team in Saint Petersburg in 2007 after winning bronze with her in Cape Town in 1997 . In Bolzano it was in 1999 in the team competition European champion and won the individual silver. In addition, he won bronze in both the individual and team competitions in Izmir in 2006 and also in the team competitions in 2008 in Kiev and 2009 in Plovdiv . He participated in the Olympics three timespart: at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 he reached the final with the Italian team, which Italy won 39:38 against France . Together with Angelo Mazzoni , Maurizio Randazzo and Paolo Milanoli , he became Olympic champion . In the individual competition, he finished tenth. Four years later he finished the individual competition in Athens in ninth place, in 2008 he reached 21st place. With the team he was defeated in the semi-finals of the French team, but prevailed in the battle for third place against China with 45:35.
