Ilona Nord (born December 18, 1966 in Marburg ) is a German Protestant theologian and currently holds a chair at the University of Würzburg (Chair for Protestant Theology with a focus on religious education and didactics of religious instruction).

Life

From 1972 to 1986 she attended the Freiherr-vom-Steinschule in Gladenbach . From 1986 to 1994 she studied Protestant theology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, the University of Heidelberg and the University of Mainz . In 1994 she passed the first theological exam at the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau . At the same time she studied communication sciences at the University of Mainz from 1990 to 1992 and from 1993 to 1996 church public relations at the Fernuniversität Hagen with the qualification as a communication economist (GEP). Theology with a focus on religious education.

Her main research interests include Paul Tillich's theology, empirical research into religious communication, the interrelationships and relationships between religion and the media, and inclusion processes in schools and churches.
