Paolo Milanoli (born December 7, 1969 in Alessandria ) is a former Italian sword fencer .

successes

Paolo Milanoli was world champion in 1993 in Essen with the team and 2001 in Nîmes in the individual world champion . In addition, he secured the European title in the team competition in Bolzano in 1999 and became vice European champion in 2001 in Koblenz . In 1994 in Cracow and in 2006 in Izmir , he won bronze in the individual and team competitions. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , he moved into the final with the Italian team, which Italy won 39:38 against France . Together with Angelo Mazzoni , Maurizio Randazzo and Alfredo Rota , he became Olympic champion . In the individual competition, he finished 13th.

In 2000 Milanoli was named Commendatore of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic .
