Anton Alexejewitsch Avdejew ( Russian Антон Алексеевич Авдеев ; born September 8, 1986 in Voskressensk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian sword fencer .

successes

Anton Avdejew celebrated his greatest success at the 2009 World Championships in Antalya by winning the title in the individual competition. He won bronze three times at European Championships : in 2007 he was third in the individual in Ghent , in 2011 in Sheffield and in 2014 in Strasbourg he was third with the team. Avdejew took part in two Olympic Games . In 2008 he was eliminated in Beijing in the second round of the individual and finished the tournament in 22nd place. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , he reached the third round and finished 15th, while he reached seventh place with the Russian team in the team competition. After the games, he ended his career.

He is married and has a daughter.
