Fencing World Championships 2010
The 2010 World Fencing Championships took place from November 4th to 13th, 2010 in the French capital Paris . The choice of the venue was made on November 25, 2007 unanimously by the Congress of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) held in Madrid . The Grand Palais was intended as the competition venue .
Paris hosted the World Fencing Championships for the fourth time after 1937 , 1957 and 1965 . The program consisted of three individual and three team competitions for women and men. In addition, it was planned to hold competitions in wheelchair fencing parallel to the championships , as was the case with the 2006 World Cup .
