Halyna Wassyliwna Pundyk ( Ukrainian Галина Василівна Пундик ; born November 7, 1987 in Chotyrboky , Khmelnitsky Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian saber fencer , Olympic champion and world champion.

Halyna Pundyk won silver with the Ukrainian team at the European Junior Championships in Poreč in 2004 . In 2005 she became European junior team champion in Espinho and won a silver medal with the Saber team at the junior world championships in Linz . In 2007 she was again junior team European champion in Poznan and won the junior world championships in Belek with the team. She won silver with the team at the Senior European Championships in Gent and at the World Championships in St. Petersburg , both times only defeated by the French team.

In 2008 Pundyk won the saber team competition at the Olympic Games in Beijing , in individual she finished 29th. In 2009 she and the team won the European fencing championship in Plovdiv and the world fencing championship in Antalya . In the individual, she won bronze at the European Championships, defeated by her long-time teammate Olha Charlan . In 2010 she was European team champion in Leipzig and at the World Championships in Paris she won the silver medal behind Russia with the team. In 2011 Halyna Pundyk won a silver medal with the saber team at the World Championships in Catania , again only defeated by the Russian team, and won bronze in the individual at the European Championships in Sheffield , again stopped by Olha Charlan. In 2012 she won silver with the team at both the European Championships in Legnano and a silver medal at the World Championships in Kiev , both times behind the Russian team. In 2013 she became team world champion in Budapest and won silver with the team at the European Championships in Zagreb , at the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan she won bronze in the saber singles. In 2014 she won bronze with the team at the European Championships in Strasbourg .
