Belek is a Turkish town in the Serik district about 30 km east of Antalya , which belongs to the region of the Turkish Riviera , and lives almost exclusively on tourism .

The place itself was in the middle of pine forests , but these were cleared for new hotels and golf courses. Numerous hotels, mostly all-inclusive , are located on the pebble and sandy beach about a kilometer away. The hotel chain stretches along the coast for a distance of about three kilometers. Numerous golf courses have been built between it and the town center . There are a few shops in the original center. Along with Kemer and Side, Belek is one of the most visited places on the Turkish Riviera.

Many hotels are closed and renovated in winter. New hotels are built in the region every year, mostly in the higher categories. Belek is a popular destination for renowned football clubs for training camps at this time of year.

Belek has also become known as a venue for international political gatherings: on May 14, 2015, a meeting of NATO foreign ministers took place there , and the annual G-20 summit on November 15 and 16, 2015, covering a large area of ​​the coast of Security forces were cordoned off.
