Anna Maria Rybicka (born March 28, 1977 in Gdynia ) is a former Polish foil fencer .

successes

Anna Rybicka achieved the most international successes in team competition. She was world champion with the team in Havana in 2003 and also won two silver and two bronze medals at world championships between 1998 and 2010. In addition, she became European champion with her in Moscow in 2002 and in Bourges in 2003 . In individual she won the bronze medal in Gdansk in 1997 , in Copenhagen in 2004 and in Izmir in 2006 . Rybicka took part in two Olympic Games : 1996 in Atlanta she finished 22nd in the individual and eighth place with the team. At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , she moved into the team competition after victories over China and Germany in the final for the Olympic victory, which was lost against Italy with 36:45. Together with Sylwia Gruchała , Barbara Wolnicka-Szewczyk and Magdalena Mroczkiewicz , she received the silver medal. She finished the individual again in 22nd place.
