Barbara Mirosława Wolnicka-Szewczyk (born March 21, 1970 in Katowice ) is a former Polish foil fencer .

successes

Barbara Wolnicka-Szewczyk achieved all international successes in the team competition. At world championships she won bronze with this in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1998 and silver in Seoul in 1999 . In addition, she secured bronze with the team at the 2000 European Championships in Funchal . Wolnicka-Szewczyk took part in three Olympic Games : in 1992 in Barcelona she finished 20th in the individual and eighth place with the team. Also in 1996 in Atlanta she was eighth with the team, in the individual she reached the 28th place. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 she moved into the team competition after victories over China and Germany in the final for the Olympic victory, which was lost against Italy with 36:45. Together with Sylwia Gruchała , Magdalena Mroczkiewicz and Anna Rybicka , she received the silver medal. She was six times Polish national champion with the team.
