European Fencing Championships 2002

The European Fencing Championships in 2002 took place from July 3rd to 8th in Moscow . A total of twelve competitions were held, namely individual and team competitions for women and men in epee, foil and saber. Since third place was not fought in the individual competitions and instead both semi-finalists shared third place, there were a total of twelve gold and silver medals and 18 bronze medals to be won. The most successful nation was Russia with a total of 12 medals.
