European Fencing Championships 2017

The 30th European Fencing Championships took place from June 12th to June 17th in Tbilisi , Georgia . The competitions were held in the Tbilisi Gymnastic Arena .

The program included competitions in the disciplines épée, foil and saber. They are divided into individual and team as well as women and men. Therefore 12 gold and 12 silver medals were awarded. Third place is not fought out in the individual, but in the team. Therefore, due to the shared third places in the individual, there are 18 bronze medals.

Epee single

97 fencers from 30 nations took part in the epee singles. The winner was the French Yannick Borel ahead of Paolo Pizzo (Italy) and third-placed Nikolai Novosjolov (Estonia) and Sergei Chodos (Russia)
