Benjamin Steffen (born March 8, 1982 ) is a Swiss sword fencer . He is the twin brother of the fencer Tabea Steffen .

At the Summer Universiade 2003 in Daegu Benjamin Steffen achieved 2nd place in the single sword . In 2009 at the 25th Summer Universiade in Belgrade , he won both individually and with the team and at the European Championships in Plovdiv he came second with the Swiss Degen team behind the Hungarian team. In 2011 at the World Championships in Catania , he and the team won the battle for bronze against South Korea. At the European Fencing Championships 2012 in Legnano and at the 2013 European Fencing Championships in Zagreb , he was European team champion.

In 2014 he won the European championship with the team in Strasbourg and came third at the World Championships in Kazan , and they also won the Swiss fencing championships.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Benjamin Steffen reached the semi-finals, which he lost to the eventual Olympic champion Park Sang-young at 9:15. In the following battle for bronze, Steffen had to admit defeat to the French Gauthier Grumier with 11:15.

In 2018 he won the gold medal with the team at the World Championships in Wuxi . The following year he secured bronze with the team in Budapest .
