Alexei Borisovich Cheremissinov
Alexei Borissowitsch Tscheremissinow ( Russian Алексей Борисович Черемисинов ; born July 9, 1985 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a Russian foil fencer . He became an Olympic and world champion.
successes
Alexei Cheremissinov won silver with the foil team at the European Championships in Ghent in 2007, and also in Leipzig in 2010 . At the EM 2011 in Sheffield he got bronze in the individual, he only lost to the eventual winner Giorgio Avola . In 2012 he became individual European champion in Legnano , at the Olympic Games in London Cheremissinov lost to Andrea Baldini and took eighth place. In 2013 he won silver in singles at the European Championships in Zagreb . In 2014 he became individual world champion in Kazan and won both silver in the individual and bronze with the team at the European Championships in Strasbourg .
At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , the Russian foil team won gold with him.
