Ryszard Parulski
Ryszard Władysław Parulski (born March 9, 1938 in Warsaw ; † January 10, 2017 ) was a Polish fencer and sports association official. His main occupation was a lawyer.
Greatest sporting achievements
- Fencing World Championships 1961 - world champion in foil (individual), bronze with the foil team
- Fencing World Championships 1962 - bronze with the foil team
- Fencing World Championships 1963 - world champion in epee (team), vice world champion in foil (individual), vice world champion in foil (team)
- Olympic Summer Games 1964 / Fencing - Olympic runner-up in foil (team)
- Fencing World Championships 1966 - bronze with the foil team
- Fencing World Championships 1967 - bronze with the foil team
- 1968 Summer Olympics / Fencing - bronze medal in foil (team)
- Fencing World Championships 1969 - Vice world champion in foil (team) and bronze in foil individual
- Four times Polish champion in foil between 1959 and 1969.
After finishing his career, he founded the “Gloria Victis” foundation for former athletes, of which he became the first president. Between 1990 and 1992 he was Vice President of the Polish Olympic Committee . He was buried in the Powązki military cemetery.
