Christian Noël (born March 13, 1945 in Agen ) is a former French foil fencer . He became an Olympic and world champion.

successes

Christian Noël became world champion with the team in Vienna in 1971 and in Budapest in 1975 . There were also two third places. He also won the title twice: in Gothenburg in 1973 and in Budapest in 1975, he won the title each time. Noël took part in the Olympic Games four times . At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he won bronze with the team. In 1968 he was fourth in the singles in Mexico City , while he moved with the team to the final against the Soviet Union , which was won 9: 6. At the 1972 Olympics in Munich , he secured the French team as well as in 1976 in Montreal again bronze. In 1972 he also reached the podium in the individual, four years later he was seventh.
