Frédéric Pietruszka (born May 13, 1954 in Villecresnes ) is a former French foil fencer .
successes
Frédéric Pietruszka was in 1975 in Budapest with the team champion , and in 1978 in Hamburg and in 1982 in Rome each second. In 1974 he won the bronze medal in Grenoble . He took part in three Olympic Games : In 1976 , he moved to Montreal with the team in the semi-finals, which were lost to Italy . In the battle for bronze, he then prevailed with the team against the Soviet Union . He finished the individual competition in fifth. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow , he and the team reached the unbeaten final, in which the French team took first place against the Soviet Union with just 8: 8 wins and 68:60 hits. Together with Philippe Bonnin , Bruno Boscherie , Pascal Jolyot and Didier Flament , Flament became Olympic champion . He finished the individual competition in eighth place. In 1984 he narrowly missed a medal win in Los Angeles as fourth in an individual. In the team competition he failed again with France in the semifinals to Italy. Pietruszka secured another bronze medal with a 9-3 win against Austria .
From 2005 to 2013 he was President of the Fédération Française d'Escrime . He then became General Secretary of the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime .
