Boris Nikolajewitsch Korezki ( Russian Борис Николаевич Корецкий ; born January 1, 1961 in Baku , Azerbaijani SSR ) is a former Soviet foil fencer .
successes
Boris Korezki became world champion with the team in Denver in 1989 and won another two bronze medals at world championships in 1985 and 1990 . He took part in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul , where he reached 16th place in the individual competition. After victories against China in the quarter-finals and Hungary in the semi-finals, the Soviet team defeated Germany 9: 5 in the battle for gold. Together with Wladimir Apziauri , Anwar Ibragimow , İlqar Məmmədov andAlexander Romankow he became Olympic champion .
