Andrea Cipressa (born December 14, 1963 in Venice ) is a former Italian foil fencer .
successes
Andrea Cipressa was world champion with the team in 1985 in Barcelona , 1986 in Sofia and 1990 in Lyon . In 1985 he also managed to win the runner-up in the individual world championship. He took part in two Olympic Games : In 1984 he moved in Los Angeles with the team unbeaten in the final, which was won against Germany 8: 7. Together with Andrea Borella , Stefano Cerioni , Mauro Numa and Angelo Scuri , Cipressa, who played in the preliminary rounds against Egypt and the United States, became Olympic champion . At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 , he finished seventh with the team.
In 1988 he became Italian champion. His daughter Erica Cipressa is also a fencer. After his active career he worked as a functionary, among others for the Italian Fencing Association .
