Didier Flament (born January 4, 1951 in Tourcoing ) is a former French fencer who mainly fought with the foil.
successes
Didier Flament became individual world champion in Hamburg in 1978 . In the team competition he won silver in the same year and 1982 in Rome , after he had won bronze in Grenoble in 1974 . He took part in two Olympic Games : in 1976 he moved into the semi-finals in Montreal with the foil team, which were lost to Italy . In the battle for bronze, he then prevailed with the team against the Soviet Union . With the Saber team, he finished seventh. At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 he reached the final unbeaten with the team, in which the French team took first place against the Soviet Union with just 8: 8 wins and 68:60 hits. Together with Philippe Bonnin , Bruno Boscherie , Pascal Jolyot and Frédéric Pietruszka , Flament became Olympic champion . He finished the individual competition in 23rd place.
