The Gruppa A 1937 was the second season of the highest Soviet football league. It began on July 23 and ended on October 30, 1937.

Dynamo Moscow won the Soviet football championship for the second time with one point ahead of Spartak Moscow and also the double by winning the cup .

The nine participating teams each played against each other once. After 16 match days, the champions were certain. There were three points for a win, two points for a draw and one point for a loss. There was no point for not showing up.
