Vysschaya League 1987

The Vysschaya League in 1988 was the 51st season of the highest Soviet football league. It started on March 7th and ended on November 19, 1988.

Dnieper Dnipropetrovsk won the Soviet football championship for the second time with three points ahead of Dynamo Kiev.

mode

The 16 teams each played against each other twice. The last two teams were relegated. The number of draws for which a team received points was limited to ten draws. However, Spartak Moscow and Dinamo Minsk were exempt from this rule, as they posted at least two players for the Soviet national football team .
