Vittorio Cordero di Montezemolo

Vittorio Cordero di Montezemolo (* 1917 in Venaria Reale , † 1982 ) was an Italian diplomat .

Career

In 1945 he completed his studies in political science and law at the University of Pisa and entered the foreign service. From 1949 to 1955 he was consul general in Buenos Aires and Mendoza (Argentina) . From 1955 to 1958 he was Counselor in Madrid . From March 1963 to April 1967 he had exequatur as consul general in New York City . From October 1967 to April 1969 he was ambassador to Montevideo . From April 1969 to June 1971 he was ambassador to Caracas and at the same time was accredited to Trinidad and Tobago . From 1971 to the end of 1974 he was ambassador to Tel Aviv . From June 1977 to July 1979 he was ambassador to the Holy See . From July 1979 to 1981 he was Permanent Representative of the Italian Government to the United Nations Office in Geneva .
